Met with UNICEF today. They are very overwhelmed and understaffed. For now we go on our own. We have decided to set up our program in our neighborhood outside the city center of Conakry. There is a big market and many children who are eager to participate. There are only a few hand washing stations. One at our house. The general sentiment is Ebola is something outside.  The don't understand they can protect themselves. People don't grasp the seriousness or disregard it because of fear.  They want to feel free. Fatalism. The general population distrust the news media. Our first task is to help establish hand-washing stations in the market. This week I will start painting classes with the children. Sidiki is rehearsing his band. Music will be his voice to spread the word.
